Morgan Brayton was born and raised in the capital of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She now makes her home in Vancouver where she has been a writer and producer for more than nine years and a performer for 17.She spent six years as a performer, writer and producer with Vancouver's all-female sketch comedy group 30 Helens attaining critical acclaim and a loyal fan following. When the Helens disbanded in 2002, Morgan was chosen as the new Artistic Director of the Vancouver International Comedy Festival where she created SketchFest Vancouver and produced Vancouver's comedy festival in 2003.Morgan was a featured performer at Toronto's We're Funny That Way comedy festival in May 2005 and shared the stage with Scott Thompson of Kids in the Hall at the CanWest Comedy Festival in September 2005.Morgan also teaches sketch comedy writing and acting. She has no idea what she's doing but the students seem to like her.Taking the knowledge and experience gained through her past decade in comedy, Morgan formed her own production company in 2004. The mission of Pink Vixen Comedy Arts is to present events that are artistically and culturally diverse, socially provocative and massively entertaining.Critics have called Morgan "profoundly silly" and "reminiscent of a young Catherine O'Hara". Her dad used to call her "Basketball Head".
